Dr. Shaoyi Zheng

Resident

Dr. Shaoyi Zheng is the Head of the Lymphatic Surgery Division at the  Institute of Chest Wall Surgery (ICWS) and serves as the Secretary of the China Chest Wall Surgery Alliance.

Dr. Zheng specializes in the treatment of chest wall disorders, including deformities, tumors, and hernias. He also possesses extensive experience in managing Lymphatic disorders, particularly postoperative or trauma-induced lymphatic fistulas, lymphangiomas, lymphatic malformations, and lymphangiectasis. Dr. Zheng has developed a comprehensive theoretical

framework for the integrated management of chest wall-related lymphatic diseases, emphasizing personalized care through dietary interventions and exercise therapy.

​In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Zheng is actively engaged in research and education. From 2020 to 2023, he participated in the compilation of the chapters on chest trauma and closed thoracic drainage in the textbook of the Department of Basic Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. In addition, he has participated in two national-level projects and one provincial-level project, and has published many SCI papers and core journal articles at home and abroad. At present, Dr. Zheng focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of chylothorax, especially on the in-depth study of non-surgical treatment methods.
